About the Event

Dennis Hawk and Victoria Huss of Thunderhawk Tribe, and Tracy Hovde present this 3-part series in the beautiful barn yoga studio at Lazy I Ranch. Each of the 3 parts stands alone and may be taken on its own, or take all 3. There are options for overnight lodging, camping, and catered meals as well.  Each workshop is eligible for 3.5 Yoga Alliance approved continuing education credits.

Psychologist Carl Jung became fascinated with the gods and goddesses of India. Why? He saw in each story or deity fragments of our own personality that are very worth exploring. For the yoga practitioner, it is enriching to understand the stories and symbols that lie just beneath each yoga pose. The stories are parts of the human story (our own ever-changing story) that gets acted out each time we go to our mat. All of the yoga poses are symbols that deepen our spiritual roots. The songs of yoga (mantra chant) are the celebration of our practice and of life.

Whether or not we are aware of the stories, symbols or music of yoga, we all notice the personal changes that are taking place as we move further into our yoga practice. Knowing the stories, symbols and songs behind the yoga poses helps us connect the dots and understand why these profound changes are taking place on our mat.

Each 3 1/2 hour session will include lecture, discussion, Kirtan, and a yoga practice. Each session is eligible for 3.5 Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credits.
